Like many bizarre beauty trends, halo brows owe their existence to the wonderfully weird world of social media. Platforms like TikTok and Instagram have become the ultimate breeding grounds for trends that challenge traditional\u00a0beauty\u00a0norms.<\/p>\n

Halo brows \u2013 a halo-like arc across your forehead that connects both brows into one loop \u2013 was created by Hannah Lyne, a 16-year-old British-born influencer, whose new doodles went viral almost instantly.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo me and\u00a0[a friend] were talking about the fishtail brow trend & then we came up with this,\u201d Lyne captions the\u00a0Instagram\u00a0post where she introduces the design that left people excited and confused.<\/p>\n

Speaking with\u00a0Pop Sugar, the beauty blogger explained it wasn\u2019t a joke and that the \u201clook was influenced by fishtail brows.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was having a conversation with a friend trying to come up with a new idea for a look, and all of a sudden it came to me that I should connect my brow tails,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Further discussing her vision with\u00a0Yahoo Style, Lyne said, \u201cI just want people to embrace being silly and doing weird, creative looks!\u201d<\/p>\n

As with many trends born on social media, halo brows sparked a flurry of mixed reactions.<\/p>\n

Some Instagram users seemed to love the\u00a0design\u00a0and praised Lyne\u2019s creativity: \u201cI love it!\u201d writes one user, while a second pens: \u201cAll of your looks are so original\u2026Honestly your talent is endless!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHow on Earth do you come up with your ideas? They\u2019re so creative and you always execute them so well! You\u2019re incredibly talented,\u201d shares a third.<\/p>\n

However, the majority of netizens were quick to dismiss the updated unibrow as a \u201cridiculous\u201d fad.<\/p>\n

\u201cVomits Uncontrollably,\u201d writes one user in the comments section of Lyne\u2019s Instagram post. \u201cI can\u2019t tell if she\u2019s joking,\u201d offers a second, while a third writes, \u201cInstagram? More like Instaregret.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, others said she looks \u201cridiculous,\u201d and suggested they\u2019re \u201cdeleting Instagram because of this photo.\u201d<\/p>\n
